You may continue using this HUP software while you are under AF employment and as long as the software you use at work has active software assurance coverage.

I'm sorry to report that the military HUP is not available, AFAIK, to veterans. It is active service (and reserves and NG). That does not mean that your service is not appreciated. That is what the veterans discount is. The HUP program is limited, not by Microsoft, but by the military.
